How do I control Alpha Ice Surfers with a mouse?

Click and drag to aim and set power, then release to execute. Some games use click-to-move instead. The start screen explains the bindings.

Can I play without knowing the rules of the sport?

Does it get harder?

Usually, with each opponent in a tournament being a little quicker or more accurate. Early matches are gentle enough to learn on.
