Can I play ASTEROIDS offline?

Not reliably. The game needs a connection to load. Once running, a short dropout may not stop it, but it is designed to be played online.

What if the game will not load?

Refresh the tab. If it still stalls, check that your browser is current and that no extension is blocking scripts. A private window is a quick test.

Is this a one-player game?

Most classics here are single player or against a computer opponent. A few board games allow two players on one device. The start screen shows the options.

The guide

More to play

24 games

Some games never needed updating. Chess has been chess for centuries, solitaire for a couple of them, and the arcade classics of the eighties still play exactly as well as they did. A session with one of these is calm and familiar. You know the rules, you know the rhythm, and the only variable is how well you play today. That is enough.

How to play

1Pick a game mode or difficulty if the start screen offers one, then let the board or deck load.
2Move by clicking or tapping a piece and then its destination. Many games also support drag and drop.
3Take your time. Classic games rarely include a clock unless you turn one on.
4When a game ends, look at the score or move count and try to beat it next round.
