The guide

Overview

Balloon Heroes: Run & Rise is a fast-paced racing game where you compete in thrilling obstacle courses. Collect balloons to power high jumps, avoid falling into water, and race to the finish line ahead of rivals. Earn coins to unlock skins and customize your hero. With tons of challenging levels, this game offers nonstop action, strategy, and fun as you run, jump, and outsmart opponents to claim victory.

What it's like to play

Most of a racing game happens in the half second before a corner. Brake too late and you lose two places. Brake too early and the car behind slips past. Everything else, the straights and the boosts and the paint jobs, exists to set up those moments. Races are short and sessions are usually a string of them, with lap times and positions to measure your progress against.

How to play

1Start a race and use the first lap to learn the track layout, especially where the sharpest turns are.
2Steer with arrow keys or tilt, accelerate with the up key or on-screen pedal, and brake lightly before corners.
3Stay to the inside on tight turns and the outside on fast ones; it is the shortest route through most tracks.
4Watch the position indicator and the minimap if there is one, so you know when to push and when to defend.
