Overview

Falling Ball is a frantic arcade game in which you need to shoot balls down the screen to take health off of the static circles below. When you shoot, the balls gravity will make them cascade down the screen, every time they come into contact with the circles it will subtract from the circles value.

Every wave is a question of what to shoot first. Shooting games layer enemies with different speeds, sizes and attack patterns, and the skill is in sorting them under pressure. Early rounds are generous with time. Later rounds are not. Ammo, health and the occasional power-up give you resources to manage alongside your aim. Sessions end when the screen gets too busy, and you restart knowing a little more.

How to play

1Read the controls, then fire a few test shots to learn the range and spread of your weapon.
2Pick off fast, small enemies first. They reach you quickest and are easiest to lose track of.
3Reposition between waves if the game allows movement; standing in the same spot makes you predictable.
4Save bombs or special attacks for emergencies when you are about to take damage.
