The guide

Overview

Engage in high-stakes crime in Auto City, where as a blocky dude, you navigate a chaotic world. Master skills and use the environment creatively as you rise through the underworld, balancing thrill and danger. Drive, fight, and outsmart to assert dominance in this blocky sandbox adventure.

Timing is everything here. An arcade game strips play down to a reflex and then tests it over and over, each time with slightly less margin. You jump a beat early and fall. You jump on the beat and the run continues. Scores climb, music speeds up, and the screen fills with things to avoid. A session is a stack of short attempts, each one a little better than the last.

How to play

1Press Play and spend the first run just watching how fast things move; do not worry about the score yet.
2Use short, deliberate taps or key presses rather than mashing. Most arcade games punish holding a button too long.
3Watch for a rhythm in the obstacles. Once you hear or see the pattern, your inputs will land on their own.
4Chase one small improvement per run, such as surviving ten seconds longer, rather than a new record every time.
