Sit down with a puzzle game and the first few minutes are about learning its particular logic. Which tiles merge, which paths connect, what counts as a match. As long as you want. Individual stages take a minute or two, and you can stop after one or carry on for an hour. There is no penalty for leaving.

Will the game remember where I got to?

Possibly. Many puzzles store progress in your browser on the device you used. Clearing browser data or switching devices will usually reset it, since there is no account.

Is this suitable for young children?

Most puzzle games are family friendly. The early stages are simple enough for younger kids with a little guidance, though reading the goal may need an adult nearby.
