1. 1Read the objective on the first stage and look at the map for choke points, resources and your base.
2. 2Spend your starting resources on a small number of strong positions rather than spreading thin.
3. 3Watch how the first wave or enemy turn plays out, then adjust before committing more.
4. 4Upgrade what is working rather than adding new things. Concentrated strength wins most strategy games.

Cannon Island rewards planning in a way that reflex games cannot. It is free, runs in the browser without a download or account, and there is no rush. A session can be twenty minutes or an hour, and on the same device the game often keeps your place.

Suits players who enjoy thinking ahead, from older children through adults. Fans of tower defence and tactics games will feel at home. People who find action games stressful often prefer this category.

How long does a game of Cannon Island take?

Longer than most browser games. A single stage or map might run ten to thirty minutes. Many strategy games let you leave and return on the same device.

Is it turn-based or real time?

Both exist in this category. Tower defence tends to be real time with pauses between waves; tactics games are often turn-based. The start screen will make it clear.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, though a tablet or desktop is easier for reading a map and placing units precisely. Touch controls are provided on mobile.
