Commander Keen Summer Edition is as close to zero friction as a game gets. Free, no download, no account, and rules you already know. It runs in the browser on any device and fits any length of break, from a quick hand to a long evening.

Suits anyone who enjoys a familiar game, from children learning the basics to adults who have played for decades. Especially good for older players who want a steady, unhurried challenge.

Is Commander Keen Summer Edition the same as the version I played years ago?

Close to it. Browser classics follow the traditional rules with occasional small changes to scoring or layout. The help menu explains any differences.

Do I need a mouse?

On desktop a mouse is the natural way to play, though some arcade classics use the keyboard. On phones and tablets, touch covers everything.

How do I start a new game?

Look for a new game or restart button in the player, usually in a corner or a menu. Refreshing the tab also starts fresh.
