The guide

Overview

Deep Space is a simple cliker game that aims to be easy and comfortable to play. Grow your platoon by stacking cash and buying new ships, so you can stack more cash and buy even better ships. The game has only one mode, you can just start playing right away. Clickers items multiply your output damage, which in turn will earn you more cash. Ships are generators and as soon as you buy them, you start earning. You can exchange your current stack (currency, ships, clickers) for a global multiplier (prestige) that will reset the game but will help you upgrade faster.

What it's like to play

Half the fun is the restart button. In an arcade game you are never more than one tap from another go, and the game knows that. It ends your run abruptly, shows your score next to your best, and waits. Sessions are made of these loops. The rules stay simple but the pace keeps shifting, so what felt impossible on the first attempt feels routine by the tenth.

How to play

1Tap or click once to start and once more to jump, flap, or fire. If a direction is needed, swipe or use the arrow keys.
2Lead your movement slightly. Obstacles arrive faster than they appear to, so act when they are still a little way off.
3Treat bonuses as optional. A bonus you could not reach safely was never a bonus.
4Pay attention to the score screen between runs. It often shows what you did better or worse than last time.
