What if I get completely stuck?

Revisit every screen you have seen and click or tap on anything you have not tried. If the game has a hint button, use it. Stepping away for a bit also helps.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. Most adventures here provide touch controls, either on-screen buttons or tap-to-move. A larger screen helps for spotting small objects.

Overview

Bombed in the Woods is a thrilling mobile game that will test your reflexes and timing skills. You play as a character who goes into the forest with an axe to chop down some trees, but unfortunately, you get caught in the crossfire of a bombing raid by enemy planes. Your goal is to dodge the bombs that rain down from the sky and collect coins along the way to complete the mission as quickly as possible. The gameplay is simple yet addictive. You can move your character left or right to avoid the bombs, and you have to keep an eye on the clock as you race against time to finish the mission. With each coin you collect, you earn points that will help you unlock new levels and characters. Bombed in the Woods is available on both iOS and Android, so you can take the excitement with you wherever you go. Can you survive the bombing raid and complete the mission before time runs out? What it's like to play

You start somewhere unfamiliar with a vague goal and not much else. An adventure game fills in the rest as you go: a path that opens when you find the right item, a character who tells you where to look, a platform that was there all along if you had thought to jump. Sessions are built from small discoveries, and the best ones stay with you.

How to play

1Spend the first minute exploring without a goal. Note exits, objects and anyone standing around.
2Interact with characters by walking up to them and pressing the action key or tapping. They often hand out clues.
3Collect items as you find them. Most adventures will not let you pick up something you do not eventually need.
4When a puzzle stumps you, read your inventory and the scene again. The combination is usually closer than it seems.

Why it's worth a go

There is a particular pleasure in finally understanding what a place is asking of you, and Flagron delivers that without any cost or setup. No download, no account, just a Play button. It suits an evening more than a bus ride, but you can leave and return.
