The guide

Overview

Have you ever thought about taking care of a marmot in your daily life? Meet the grumpiest and funniest marmot you could ever meet. Have fun pranking Mister Grumpy, play funny games to annoy and disturb him, but dont forget to take care of your marmot every day. Take care of Mister Grumpy daily, feed him, bathe and put him to sleep. But of course, wake him up in the funniest and most annoying way possible, hell hate it and tell you to go away. Also have fun remodeling your house and customizing his appearance, putting on hats, ties and many other accessories.

What it's like to play

Start with a blank character and a wardrobe, or an empty room and a catalogue, and build something from it. That is the heart of these games. Sessions are unhurried. You scroll through options, apply one, step back, change your mind. Some games add a cooking order or a pet to look after, which gives the session a bit of structure, but the choices remain yours.

How to play

1Choose a scene or character, then find the option panel, usually along the bottom or side of the screen.
2Tap each category in turn and try the items. Nothing is final until you press done.
3Pay attention to any customer, client or checklist, since some games score you on matching their request.
4Finish by saving a picture, or simply start a new scene if you want to try a different look.

Why it's worth a go

Funny Virtual Pet is relaxing and free. There is no competition, no download, and no login to get through before you can start. It runs in the browser on a phone or desktop, and a session can be as short or as long as the mood lasts.

Who it's for

Suits children who love dressing up and decorating, teens interested in fashion or design, and adults who want a quiet, creative way to pass a few minutes. No prior gaming experience is needed.
