How long is a round of Get On Board?

A single stage usually takes one to three minutes. There is no fixed session length, so you stop when you want to.

Is a mouse better than touch for this?

They are about equal. Casual games are designed for touch first, but mouse clicks map to the same actions on desktop.

What happens if I lose a stage?

You simply try it again. There are no lives to run out in most casual games, and nothing you have done so far is lost.

The guide

Overview

How will you face the rush hour during commuting? Please try this casual and stress-relieving crowd-crushing game. Just tap the screen to play. See if you can get off before getting off.

What it's like to play

Open it, tap, and you are in. A casual game does not ask you to read a manual or remember a control scheme. The first stage shows a hand pointing at something; you tap it; a pleasant chime plays. From there each stage adds a small twist. Sessions are easy to begin and easy to end, and both of those things matter more than they sound.

How to play

1Follow the pointing hand or glowing object on the first stage. That is the game teaching you its one core action.
2Tap, click or swipe to interact. If something highlights when you hover or touch it, it probably does something.
3Watch for a target shown at the top of the stage and work toward it in the fewest moves you can manage.
4Use boosters or hints freely. Most stages are designed with them in mind.

Why it's worth a go

It is relaxing in a way few things on a screen are. Get On Board loads in the browser with no download and no account, it makes no demands, and every few minutes it gives you a small win. For a free game, that is a good trade.
