The guide

Overview

In "Graffiti Time," play as Cap, a spray-paint-wielding alien tagging urban landscapes while dodging futuristic security. This 2D platformer emphasizes strategic movement, blending creativity with stealth. Collect cash, unlock styles, and rush against time to outsmart patrols in your quest for artistic rebellion.

What it's like to play

Ask a seven-year-old what they want from a game and the answer is usually a character, some stuff to collect, and a bit of a challenge. Junior games deliver exactly that, scaled gently. Stages are short. Obstacles are slow. Puzzles have one or two steps. A session is a sequence of small successes, with a star rating or a score to show for it.

How to play

1Read or listen to the stage goal, then look at the layout for the items to collect and the exit to reach.
2Use arrow keys or on-screen buttons to move, and tap or press space for jumps and actions.
3Collect items in a path rather than zigzagging; it keeps the stage short and the rating high.
4Finish the stage, check your stars, and move on or replay.

Why it's worth a go

Graffiti Time is free, runs in any browser with nothing to download, and suits a child who wants to play on their own for a bit. The stages are quick and the difficulty is kind, so most sessions end with a success rather than a sulk.

Who it's for

Suits children from about five upward who can read a few words and manage simple controls. Good for solo play on a tablet or laptop, with an adult nearby for the youngest.
