Heroes Beware

• Mouse to aim, click to act
• Arrow keys or WASD to move; Space to jump or confirm
• Press Escape or the exit button to leave the full-screen player

1. 1Tap or click once to start and once more to jump, flap, or fire. If a direction is needed, swipe or use the arrow keys.
2. 2Lead your movement slightly. Obstacles arrive faster than they appear to, so act when they are still a little way off.
3. 3Treat bonuses as optional. A bonus you could not reach safely was never a bonus.
4. 4Pay attention to the score screen between runs. It often shows what you did better or worse than last time.

• Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed
• Loads in the browser tab and opens full screen when you press Play
• Works in portrait or landscape
• Mouse and keyboard controls, with touch support on most devices
• Listed under Arcade

Heroes Beware is immediate. There is no loading beyond the first few seconds, no download and no sign-up. Within half a minute of arriving you are playing, and within two minutes you have a score to beat. For a free browser game, that is all you need.

Reflex players, high-score chasers, and anyone who likes a little friendly rivalry over a phone passed around a table. Children like the early part of every run; adults like the part where it gets hard.

Do I need to create an account to play Heroes Beware?

No. There are no accounts on this site. Open the page, press Play, and the game starts in a full-screen player.

Does the game remember my best score?

Often it does, using your browser's own storage on that device. It will not follow you to another phone or computer.

Is sound required?

No, but it helps. Many arcade games put audio cues on obstacles and power-ups, so headphones can make the timing easier to read.
