The guide

Overview

High Volley challenges you to keep a ball in the air solo, using well-timed taps to master the art of volleyball. It’s a test of precise timing and quick reflexes as you aim to break your personal best score, all while honing your hand-eye coordination.

Scoreboards make everything feel important, and sports games lean on that. A session here is a sequence of short contests, each with a clear result. You learn the timing of a shot or a kick in the first round, tighten it in the second, and start thinking about tactics by the third. Opponents get quicker. The rules stay recognisable. It ends when the bracket does or when you do.

Controls

Tap, hold and swipe on phones and tablets
Mouse or trackpad on a computer; arrow keys or WASD where the game asks for movement
Press Escape or the exit button to leave the full-screen player

How to play

1Start a match and watch the first few seconds to see how your player or ball responds to input.
2Use drag, swipe or arrow keys to aim, and release or tap to shoot, kick or swing.
3Vary your shots. Opponents in many sports games adapt to repeated patterns.
4Watch the timer and play safe when ahead, take risks when behind.
