The guide

Overview

Looking for some fun? Play the online free game of hungry fish. The game is simple, you just have to eat the fish that swims up on your screen. Sounds easy enough right? Well there are some tricky moves in this underwater world and it will take all of our skills together as teamwork for us not only survive but thrive too. The fish are hungry and they need to eat something quickly before their stomachs start rumbling. Luckily, there's an online game that can be played in just minutes - it'll make those hunger pangs go away faster than you can say " payday."

What it's like to play

The loop is simple to describe and hard to put down. Find a problem, search the area, pick up what you can, try things until something works, and move on to the next room, cave or screen. Adventure games thread these loops together with light storytelling, so a session feels like reading a chapter rather than beating a stage. You stop at the next cliffhanger, not the next checkpoint.

How to play

1Watch the opening scene or read the first text box, since it usually tells you what you are looking for.
2Move with the arrow keys or by tapping, and press the action button near anything that glows, sparkles or looks out of place.
3Keep a mental list of things you could not open or reach; they are what your newly found items are for.
4Talk to every character twice. Second conversations often reveal something new.
