All you know is that he will take it inside his ice cream van, but you don't know where. Your mission will be to hide inside his van and solve the mystery of this evil villain. To do this, you will travel through different scenarios and solve the necessary puzzles to save the frozen child.

What it's like to play

Nothing about an adventure game is in a hurry. You wander, you notice, you pick up a thing you do not yet understand. Later it makes sense. A session might be twenty minutes of exploring one area or an hour spent crossing several. The story, however light, gives the wandering a purpose, and the small puzzles give the story a rhythm.

How to play

1Check the controls on the start screen, then walk a slow lap of the first area, interacting with everything.
2Open doors, read notes and talk to characters. Clues are often hidden in plain sight in dialogue or signs.
3Collect items freely and try them on anything that looks blocked. Wrong combinations cost nothing.
4If you are stuck, look for a path or exit you have not taken yet. The game usually only blocks what you are not ready for.

Why it's worth a go

ICE SCREAM FRIENDS is free, runs in a browser tab, and asks nothing of you but attention. The reward is a slow build of understanding that few other genres offer. There is no download and no account, and on the same device the game often picks up where you left it.
