The guide

Overview

IDLE ARCADE - MAKE LVL a game in which you create levels and earn on it. Just don’t overdo it, you still need your level to pass Earn money to create levels. The more difficult the level, the more money. For creating levels, there are different blocks: from teleporting to platforms.

The best moment in any puzzle game is the one just after you have been stuck. You have tried the obvious moves, nothing worked, and then you spot the thing you overlooked. The whole board resolves in a few quick taps. Sessions are built from a string of those moments, separated by stretches of quiet staring. It is slow in a good way.

How to play

1Identify the goal first. Look for a target, counter or outline that tells you what a finished stage looks like.
2Make a move you can reverse, then see how the board reacts. Most puzzles let you undo or restart freely.
3Group similar pieces or clear blockers early so you have room to work later in the stage.
4When you solve a stage, note what the trick was; the next few stages will usually build on it.
