The guide

Overview

Many people traveling around the world and visiting various cities bring themselves various souvenirs. Imagine that your friend brought you a memory puzzle with views of such a famous English city as London. Now you will need to put all the puzzles together and get the pictures. In front of you on the playing field, you will see the pieces of the puzzle mixed together. Try to pull them apart so that you can see everything at once. Now try to imagine the image of course and start the game. You need to drag the elements to the desired location and connect them together. When you are done, you will get a picture of one of the sights of London.

What it's like to play

The best moment in any puzzle game is the one just after you have been stuck. You have tried the obvious moves, nothing worked, and then you spot the thing you overlooked. The whole board resolves in a few quick taps. Sessions are built from a string of those moments, separated by stretches of quiet staring. It is slow in a good way.

How to play

1Identify the goal first. Look for a target, counter or outline that tells you what a finished stage looks like.
2Make a move you can reverse, then see how the board reacts. Most puzzles let you undo or restart freely.
3Group similar pieces or clear blockers early so you have room to work later in the stage.
4When you solve a stage, note what the trick was; the next few stages will usually build on it.

Why it's worth a go

Because it fits into the gaps. London Jigsaw Puzzle Collection does not need a download or a login, and a stage takes about as long as waiting for a kettle. It is also one of the few kinds of game that leaves you feeling slightly sharper rather than drained.
