Do I need a fast computer to run Magic Cube Demolition?

No. Puzzle games are light on graphics and run fine on older laptops, basic tablets and most phones. A current browser matters more than hardware.

Can two people play together?

Puzzle games here are generally single player, but they work well passed back and forth, with one person solving and another suggesting moves.

Why did my progress disappear?

Progress is stored in the browser rather than an account. If you cleared browsing data, used a private window, or switched devices, the game would start fresh.

The guide

Overview

Tap the blocks to make them fly away and clear the screen. But the blocks will only fly in one direction, so you’ve got to approach this brain teaser carefully. Slide your finger around the screen to rotate the shape and attack the blocks from every angle. As you progress, the blocks form bigger and bigger shapes, and the blocks themselves change form, so you’ll need to get your thinking hat on to solve the puzzles in this 3D puzzle game. And that’s not it. There are skins and themes you can unlock as you get further, as well as challenges to keep you on your toes. In this fun and colorful game, you challenge your logic, critical thinking, and precision. Do you have what it takes?

What it's like to play

The best moment in any puzzle game is the one just after you have been stuck. You have tried the obvious moves, nothing worked, and then you spot the thing you overlooked. The whole board resolves in a few quick taps. Sessions are built from a string of those moments, separated by stretches of quiet staring. It is slow in a good way.

How to play

1Identify the goal first. Look for a target, counter or outline that tells you what a finished stage looks like.
2Make a move you can reverse, then see how the board reacts. Most puzzles let you undo or restart freely.
3Group similar pieces or clear blockers early so you have room to work later in the stage.
4When you solve a stage, note what the trick was; the next few stages will usually build on it.

Features

Why it's worth a go

Because it fits into the gaps. Magic Cube Demolition does not need a download or a login, and a stage takes about as long as waiting for a kettle. It is also one of the few kinds of game that leaves you feeling slightly sharper rather than drained.
