The guide

Overview

Get ready for a dark battle with your metal man in the Metal Black Wars game. From the moment you land on the field in the Metal Black Wars battle game, you will fight alone against the enemy army. Select the challenging level when starting the game. Start the battle by choosing one of the ”NORMAL“, ”HARD“ and ”CRAZY" options. You will enter the game with a cool helicopter. Fear the eyes of your enemies. Come on, if you've landed, start running towards your enemies. Set your target and attack. You have to keep shooting. Or you will be defeated. You shouldn't let the Lifeline drain. When the enemies are outnumbered, throw your bomb when you realize that you can't handle them. The more enemies you kill, the more gold you will earn. Accumulate and use this gold to buy brand new weapons and become stronger. Powerful weapons will be waiting for you in the store. Take your place in this battle full of adventure and suspense. Don't miss hours of fun.

What it's like to play

One button. Rising speed. No second chances. That is the arcade formula and it has not changed much in forty years because it does not need to. A session is a run of attempts where the first few are warm-ups and the later ones are tense. You stop noticing the music. You stop blinking. Then you clip an edge and it is over, and you tap Play again.

How to play

1Check the start screen for the control hint, then do one throwaway run to feel how your character moves and stops.
2Commit to each input. Hesitating halfway through a jump or dodge is what causes most early crashes.
3Keep your thumb or finger resting lightly on the control so you are never reaching for it.
4Set a target before each run, for example clearing the next obstacle type, and stop for the day when you hit it.

Features

Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed

Why it's worth a go

Nothing to learn, nothing to install, and a run of Metal Black Wars fits inside a single song. It is the kind of game that is good when you have five spare minutes and bad when you have five spare hours, because you will use all of them.

Who it's for

Suits anyone from about eight upward with decent reflexes. Adults looking for a palate cleanser between longer games, and phone users who want something to do with one thumb while standing up.
