Ninja Pig

Unleash the stealthy prowess of an unlikely hero in Ninja Pig. Glide through ten thrilling levels, hurl shurikens at quirky alien foes, and aim for the high score. Embrace the unexpected agility of a purple piglet in this humorous platformer adventure that promises both laughter and adrenaline.

Bright colors, big buttons, and a cheerful noise when you get something right. That is the recipe for most children's games here, and it works. Sessions are short and happy. A child taps, something fun happens, and they tap again. The challenges grow very gently, so a stage that was tricky yesterday becomes easy today, which is exactly the point of the whole thing.

• Mouse to aim, click to act
• Arrow keys or WASD to move; Space to jump or confirm

1. 1Press Play and wait for the first prompt. The game will highlight or animate the thing to tap first.
2. 2Tap, drag or swipe as the game shows. There are rarely more than one or two kinds of action.
3. 3Listen for the happy sound or watch for stars, which confirm a correct move.
4. 4When a stage finishes, tap the next arrow. Replaying a stage is fine and often fun.

Children get a sense of achievement from Ninja Pig without pressure or frustration. It is free and runs in the browser, with nothing to download and no account, so a parent can open it on any device in seconds and close it just as fast when it is time to stop.

Suits preschool and early primary children, roughly three to seven. Parents and carers can sit alongside, and the simple controls mean little explanation is needed before a child can take over.
