The guide

Overview

The PJ Masks return right now with the first-ever memory game online that this category has had, a memory games with cards that there's absolutely no way at all you will not really love playing, since we're talking about a game where you improve your memory with these characters from Disney Junior that you love a lot, an experience that there is no way at all you are not going to love a great deal. We will be explaining how this works right here, so playing the game should be a piece of cake. You can choose to play the game in three different levels of difficulty, each one having a different number of cards to match. You click on two cards at a time to flip them around, and every time that the two cards you have flipped have the same image on them, they no longer remain flipped, but their image remains visible, simple as that. You win the game once you have revealed all of the cards by matching them, and once you have done so in all three levels of difficulty. Good luck, and make sure not to stop here, since more awesome content is on its way right now.

What it's like to play

Every stage hands you a small, self-contained problem with a clean answer somewhere inside it. Matching three, sliding blocks, connecting pipes, rotating tiles; the mechanics change but the feeling is constant. You test an idea, watch it fail, adjust. Later stages layer two or three rules together so the obvious move is usually the wrong one. It is quiet, methodical play.

Controls

Mouse to aim, click to act
Arrow keys or WASD to move; Space to jump or confirm
Press Escape or the exit button to leave the full-screen player

How to play

1Read the goal shown at the top of the stage, such as a target score, a shape to fill, or a path to complete.
2Drag or tap to move pieces; try one move and watch what the board does before committing to a plan.
3Count your remaining moves if the game shows them, and save the big combinations for when you need them.
4Use the hint or undo button when offered. There is no penalty on most stages, and it beats staring at the screen.

Why it's worth a go

Short, finishable chunks. A stage of PJ Masks Hidden Heroes takes a couple of minutes, which makes it a good match for a wait at the bus stop or the last five minutes of a lunch break. It loads in a tab without an install, so there is nothing to clean up afterwards.

Who it's for

Suits adults who want a calm break and children old enough to read simple instructions. Casual players will find the early stages gentle, and anyone who enjoys sudoku or crosswords should feel at home.
