Potion Path

You start somewhere unfamiliar with a vague goal and not much else. An adventure game fills in the rest as you go: a path that opens when you find the right item, a character who tells you where to look, a platform that was there all along if you had thought to jump. 1. 1Spend the first minute exploring without a goal. Note exits, objects and anyone standing around.
2. 2Interact with characters by walking up to them and pressing the action key or tapping. They often hand out clues.
3. 3Collect items as you find them. Most adventures will not let you pick up something you do not eventually need.
4. 4When a puzzle stumps you, read your inventory and the scene again. The combination is usually closer than it seems.

What if I get completely stuck?

Revisit every screen you have seen and click or tap on anything you have not tried. If the game has a hint button, use it. Stepping away for a bit also helps.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. Most adventures here provide touch controls, either on-screen buttons or tap-to-move. A larger screen helps for spotting small objects.
