The guide

Overview

Soft-girl and e-girl are completely different new subcultures. Our princesses decided to try on these images. Soft-girl is a fashionable style for girls who dress in big jumpers, T-shirts, like to wear jeans and never refuse short skirts. Girls with this style look very cute. Glasses are sometimes used as accessories. In makeup, soft-girls always use blush, draw short arrows, sometimes even freckles. Young princesses who consider themselves to be an e-girl love short plaid skirts with a high waist, a black and white striped turtleneck, and a black T-shirt over the turtleneck. They like to wear belts, chains, tights in a net. Make-ups are effective - long arrows, bright blush, often also use blush with shine and lipstick with shine, which makes the skin shinier and as if moist at first glance. Which style do you like more? Let's arrange a fashion competition for our princesses.

What it's like to play

Dress-up, decorating and styling games make up most of this category, and the sessions have a particular rhythm. You are given a blank canvas, a character or a room or a cake, and a panel of options. You try things on, swap them out, and settle on something you like. There is no timer and rarely a score. The game ends when you are happy with the result.

How to play

1Pick a character, room or project from the start screen, then look for the tabs or icons that open each set of options.
2Tap or click an item to apply it. Most games let you swap it instantly, so try several before deciding.
3Work in order: base layers first, then accessories or details, so later choices sit on top properly.
4Look for a camera or save icon when you are done. Many games let you keep a picture of your creation.

Why it's worth a go

Princess e-Girl vs Soft Girl is creative rather than competitive. You make something, admire it, and maybe make another. It is free and runs in the browser with nothing to download, so it is easy to open on a phone or tablet and just as easy to put down when you are finished.
