How to play

Spend the first minute exploring without a goal. Note exits, objects and anyone standing around.
Interact with characters by walking up to them and pressing the action key or tapping. They often hand out clues.
Collect items as you find them. Most adventures will not let you pick up something you do not eventually need.
When a puzzle stumps you, read your inventory and the scene again. The combination is usually closer than it seems.
