Does Rainbow Friends Survival work with touch?

Yes. Most shooting games here let you tap to fire and use an on-screen pad to move. A tablet is more comfortable than a small phone for this genre.

Can I change the difficulty?

Some games offer a setting on the start screen. Others fix the ramp. If it feels too hard, focus on surviving rather than scoring and the pace will click.

Will the game remember my progress?

If it saves stages or scores, it does so in your browser on the device you used. There is no account, so a new device starts over.

The guide

Overview

Rainbow Friends Survival is a shooting game where your mission is to shoot all incoming rainbow friends using different weapons, try to survive each level in order to unlock new guns.

What it's like to play

Aim matters, but so does knowing where to look. Shooting games reward players who watch the whole screen and prioritise. Which enemy is closest, which one is about to fire, which pickup is worth the detour. The trigger is the easy part. Sessions run through waves or stages of mounting pressure, and when they end, usually suddenly, you have a score and a good idea of what to do differently.

How to play

1Learn the fire control and, if there is one, the movement control before the first wave arrives.
2Scan the edges of the screen regularly. New enemies tend to appear there.
3Fire in short bursts at a single target until it drops, then switch. Spraying wastes ammo.
4Use any special weapon or bomb when the screen is crowded, not when it is nearly clear.

Features

Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed
Loads in the browser tab and opens full screen when you press Play
Plays best with the phone turned sideways or on a wider screen
Mouse and keyboard controls, with touch support on most devices

Why it's worth a go

Rainbow Friends Survival runs free in the browser, loads in seconds and asks only for your aim. There is no download, no login, and no setup. The rounds are short and the scoring is clear, so you always know whether you are improving from one attempt to the next.

Who it's for

Suits players who enjoy reflex games with targets to hit, typically teenagers and adults. People who find racing or puzzle games too slow often take to this category quickly.
