The guide

Overview

Rocket-vehicle is a platform game where you drive a rocket-fast car in colorful levels filled with obstacles. Go up hills, down slopes, through tunnels, mountains, and more in absolute full speed. Experience the thrill of the cool slow motion animation as you fire your rockets. The longer you hold down the rocket button, the more powerfully you will be propelled. When you're mid-air, perform stunts to finish the level quicker and impress your fans. Unlock new vehicle skins by progressing through the game and finishing every level. What it's like to play

Speed is the obvious draw, but racing games are really about control. Holding a line through a bend, timing a boost, judging an overtake. The first race of a session is usually scrappy. By the third or fourth, you have learned the track and the car, and the finish starts to feel earned. Races are short, so even a brief session covers a few of them.

How to play

1Pick a car or kart if the game offers a choice, then start the race and hold accelerate as the countdown ends.
2Steer with arrow keys, WASD or tilt. Keep inputs small and smooth, especially at high speed.
3Brake before corners and accelerate out of them. Carrying too much speed in is the most common mistake.
4Watch for shortcuts and boost pads on the track; many games hide a faster route off the main line.
