Sands of Anubis is an Egyptian tile matching puzzle.
4.3Runs in your browser · no download

Sands of Anubis is an Egyptian tile matching puzzle. Tap a tile to move it into your tray. Collect three matching tiles to clear them. Only tiles that are not covered by another tile can be picked, so plan your moves. If the tray fills up with 7 tiles, the level starts over. Play almost 5000 levels among the pyramids. Stuck? Use boosters: Magnet pulls matching tiles to complete a triple, Undo sends the last tile back to the board and Shuffle mixes the tiles. Complete daily quests, spin the lucky wheel and open the hourly reward chest to unlock the pharaohs treasure.
The best moment in any puzzle game is the one just after you have been stuck. You have tried the obvious moves, nothing worked, and then you spot the thing you overlooked. The whole board resolves in a few quick taps. Sessions are built from a string of those moments, separated by stretches of quiet staring. It is slow in a good way.
Because it fits into the gaps. Sands of Anubis does not need a download or a login, and a stage takes about as long as waiting for a kettle. It is also one of the few kinds of game that leaves you feeling slightly sharper rather than drained.
Players of any age who like a quiet challenge. Grandparents and grandchildren can share it. People who commute, anyone who enjoys logic problems, and those who want a game that does not demand quick fingers.
