The guide

Overview

Experience a thrilling adventure platformer by playing Shadow Heroes. Join forces with the crime-fighting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the coolest group of pizza lovers. The adventure takes place in the Metropolitan Rail System, making it even more exciting. In this fantastic game, you must use the turtle's advanced ninjutsu skills to save April O'Neil, the turtles' first human ally and loyal friend, who has been kidnapped. The key to success in this game is teamwork, as you must combine the special abilities of all your group members to succeed. Don't forget that teamwork is essential.

What it's like to play

Somewhere between a puzzle and a story sits the adventure game. You are given a world to walk through and a reason to be there. Progress comes from paying attention: a loose brick, a character who mentions a key, a path you missed. The pace is steady rather than frantic, and sessions usually last until you reach a satisfying moment to stop.

How to play

1Move through the first area slowly and interact with everything; doors, drawers, signs and people all respond.
2Pick up any item that can be picked up, then open your inventory to see what you are carrying.
3Try items on locked or broken things nearby. The game will tell you if the combination does nothing.
4Use markers or a map if the game has one to see which areas you have not yet visited.
