Somewhere

Enter the minimalist yet challenging world of Somewhere, where every level demands strategic navigation through intricate obstacles. Survive without enemies in a 1-bit universe that tests your timing, patience, and determination. Uncover hidden secrets as you master seven levels with precision and thoughtful execution to succeed.

Nothing about an adventure game is in a hurry. You wander, you notice, you pick up a thing you do not yet understand. Later it makes sense. A session might be twenty minutes of exploring one area or an hour spent crossing several. The story, however light, gives the wandering a purpose, and the small puzzles give the story a rhythm.

• Mouse to aim, click to act
• Arrow keys or WASD to move; Space to jump or confirm
• Press Escape or the exit button to leave the full-screen player

1. 1Check the controls on the start screen, then walk a slow lap of the first area, interacting with everything.
2. 2Open doors, read notes and talk to characters. Clues are often hidden in plain sight in dialogue or signs.
3. 3Collect items freely and try them on anything that looks blocked. Wrong combinations cost nothing.
4. 4If you are stuck, look for a path or exit you have not taken yet. The game usually only blocks what you are not ready for.

• Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed
• Loads in the browser tab and opens full screen when you press Play
• Plays best with the phone turned sideways or on a wider screen
• Mouse and keyboard controls, with touch support on most devices
• Listed under Adventure

Somewhere is free, runs in a browser tab, and asks nothing of you but attention. The reward is a slow build of understanding that few other genres offer. There is no download and no account, and on the same device the game often picks up where you left it.

Suits patient players who enjoy a story and a mystery. Older children, teens and adults will all find something in it. Younger children may enjoy watching and suggesting what to try.

Does Somewhere need a fast connection?

Only to load. Adventure games can be a bit larger than arcade titles, so give the first load a moment. After that it runs locally in the tab.

Can I skip the dialogue?

Usually, by clicking or tapping through it. Be careful though, since dialogue often contains the clue you need for the next puzzle.

What is the difference between this and a puzzle game?

Adventure games wrap their puzzles in exploration and story. You move through places and talk to characters rather than solving a single board.
