The guide

Overview

Space Diamond Miner is a casual arcade game inspired by classic Gold Miner–style mechanics, set in a colorful space diamond mining universe. Players control an astronaut and use a hook to collect valuable diamonds hidden underground on alien planets. Each level has a time limit, encouraging precise timing and smart target selection. Collected diamonds can be spent on upgrades such as hook speed, hook size, extra time, and diamond value, creating a simple yet rewarding progression system.

What it's like to play

The best moment in any puzzle game is the one just after you have been stuck. You have tried the obvious moves, nothing worked, and then you spot the thing you overlooked. The whole board resolves in a few quick taps. Sessions are built from a string of those moments, separated by stretches of quiet staring. It is slow in a good way.

Controls

Players launch a hook to grab underground diamonds and earn as much as possible before time runs out Timing target selection and upgrade choices are key to success Diamonds collected can be used to improve hook speed size time bonuses and diamond v

How to play

1Identify the goal first. Look for a target, counter or outline that tells you what a finished stage looks like.
2Make a move you can reverse, then see how the board reacts. Most puzzles let you undo or restart freely.
3Group similar pieces or clear blockers early so you have room to work later in the stage.
4When you solve a stage, note what the trick was; the next few stages will usually build on it.

Features

Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed

Plays best with the phone turned sideways or on a wider screen
Mouse and keyboard controls, with touch support on most devices

Why it's worth a go

Because it fits into the gaps. Space Diamond Miner does not need a download or a login, and a stage takes about as long as waiting for a kettle. It is also one of the few kinds of game that leaves you feeling slightly sharper rather than drained.

Who it's for

Players of any age who like a quiet challenge. Grandparents and grandchildren can share it. People who commute, anyone who enjoys logic problems, and those who want a game that does not demand quick fingers.
