Squid Sugar Cooking

Start with a blank character and a wardrobe, or an empty room and a catalogue, and build something from it. That is the heart of these games. Sessions are unhurried. You scroll through options, apply one, step back, change your mind. Some games add a cooking order or a pet to look after, which gives the session a bit of structure, but the choices remain yours.

• Mouse or tap to play

1. 1Choose a scene or character, then find the option panel, usually along the bottom or side of the screen.
2. 2Tap each category in turn and try the items. Nothing is final until you press done.
3. 3Pay attention to any customer, client or checklist, since some games score you on matching their request.
4. 4Finish by saving a picture, or simply start a new scene if you want to try a different look.
