The guide

Overview

Stay Road challenges you to master the art of high-speed maneuvering. Swerve and dodge through sudden obstacles and sharp turns with quick reflexes. Tap timing is crucial to avoid crashes while you chase the thrill of outpacing your personal best score. Are you ready to embrace the excitement?

Speed is the obvious draw, but racing games are really about control. Holding a line through a bend, timing a boost, judging an overtake. The first race of a session is usually scrappy. By the third or fourth, you have learned the track and the car, and the finish starts to feel earned. Races are short, so even a brief session covers a few of them.

Controls

Tap, hold and swipe on phones and tablets
Mouse or trackpad on a computer; arrow keys or WASD where the game asks for movement
Press Escape or the exit button to leave the full-screen player

How to play

1Pick a car or kart if the game offers a choice, then start the race and hold accelerate as the countdown ends.
2Steer with arrow keys, WASD or tilt. Keep inputs small and smooth, especially at high speed.
3Brake before corners and accelerate out of them. Carrying too much speed in is the most common mistake.
4Watch for shortcuts and boost pads on the track; many games hide a faster route off the main line.
