Can I play Stick Army in short sessions?

You can, but strategy stages tend to run ten minutes or more. Many games save progress in the browser so you can return to a stage later on the same device.

Most strategy games here fold the tutorial into the first stage, with hints that appear as you play. There is rarely a separate lesson to sit through.

Does it run on a phone?

Yes, with touch controls. Small screens make maps harder to read, so a tablet or laptop is usually more comfortable.

More to play

24 games

Think first, click second. That is the whole discipline of a strategy game. You are given a map, a goal and a budget, and the enemy is given time. Sessions are measured in waves or turns rather than seconds, and each one tells you something about whether your setup is working. Early stages are forgiving. Later ones expect you to have a plan before the first enemy appears.

How to play

1Study the map layout at the start. Where enemies enter, where they turn, and where your base sits all matter.
2Make a small number of strong placements at the first choke point rather than spreading out.
3Watch each wave or turn fully, then upgrade or reposition based on where damage got through.
4Save resources for a mid-stage adjustment; the map usually changes its demands halfway through.

Why it's worth a go

Stick Army is for anyone who prefers a plan to a reflex. It is free, needs no download or account, and runs in a browser tab. Stages are satisfying to crack and the slower pace suits a longer sitting with a cup of something warm beside the keyboard.

Who it's for

Suits thoughtful players from about ten years old upward. Adults who like tower defence, tactics or management games will find familiar ideas. Those wanting quick action may find it slow.
