The guide

Overview

Hordes of stickman, wave by wave trying to wear you down, waiting for your first mistake. You as the chosen stick guy should mindlessly beat them up with your kung fu. Nobody knows why you are the chosen, nor anyone knows why these idiots run towards you, just to get punch in their sensitive parts. Tap on the white circle to kill enemies, earn souls and buy new weapons.

What it's like to play

You start somewhere unfamiliar with a vague goal and not much else. An adventure game fills in the rest as you go: a path that opens when you find the right item, a character who tells you where to look, a platform that was there all along if you had thought to jump. Sessions are built from small discoveries, and the best ones stay with you.

How to play

1Spend the first minute exploring without a goal. Note exits, objects and anyone standing around.
2Interact with characters by walking up to them and pressing the action key or tapping. They often hand out clues.
3Collect items as you find them. Most adventures will not let you pick up something you do not eventually need.
4When a puzzle stumps you, read your inventory and the scene again. The combination is usually closer than it seems.

Why it's worth a go

There is a particular pleasure in finally understanding what a place is asking of you, and Stickman Attack delivers that without any cost or setup. No download, no account, just a Play button. It suits an evening more than a bus ride, but you can leave and return.

Who it's for

Suits curious players from about ten years old upward, including adults who prefer thinking to twitch reflexes. People who enjoy puzzles with a bit of story attached will get the most from it.
