The guide

Overview

It’s time to show off your basketball shooting skills. Feel like a real basketball star behind the free-throwing line. Align your feet, aim the shot, look up to the rim, and toss the ball. See how the basketball flies and swishes the rim like a professional basket player. Your mission is simple: Swipe up your finger on the screen of your smartphone or tablet to control the direction of the ball to score points after points. Just make sure that you dont miss the shot or you will have to start over.

What it's like to play

Swing, release, watch. Whether the game is golf, basketball or something less usual, sports games here boil down to a well-timed input and a moment of waiting to see if it lands. Rounds are short and scored. Many games add a tournament or career ladder that gives a session shape, with each win leading to a tougher opponent. The physics are forgiving and the rules are familiar.

How to play

1Start a match and find the aim control, which is usually a mouse drag, a swipe, or arrow keys to position.
2Set power with a meter or by how far you drag, and release at the right moment to execute.
3Aim for the gaps rather than the target. Corners of the goal, edges of the hoop, open lanes on the court.
4After each round, check the scoreboard and adjust your power or angle rather than repeating the same shot.
