Taiga: Expedition is a cozy 3D physics offroad delivery simulator. Drive vintage trucks through mud, deep fords and forest forks of the wild taiga and deliver logs and cargo to the sawmill. Your truck bed carries living cargo: logs, fuel barrels, blocks, pipes, hay bales and fragile containers. They sway and fly off on bumps, so feather throttle, brake and steering to keep them on board. 5 trucks: Zubr-130 Veteran, Leshy-66 4x4, Kedr-255 6x6, Utes-4320 and Cayman-6522 Taiga Beast 6x6. Upgrade engine, mud tires, suspension, high sides and fuel tank, and paint the body in six colors. 50 handcrafted routes from dirt roads to the Great Swamp, with risky shortcuts and safe detours, fords, sticky mud and boulders. Earn up to 3 stars per level for cargo kept and time.
Most of a racing game happens in the half second before a corner. Brake too late and you lose two places. Brake too early and the car behind slips past. Everything else, the straights and the boosts and the paint jobs, exists to set up those moments. Races are short and sessions are usually a string of them, with lap times and positions to measure your progress against.
Taiga: Expedition is a browser game you can start in seconds and leave in a few minutes without any cost or install. The driving is simple to pick up, the corners are not, and that gap is where the fun is. No account is needed and nothing is left behind.
Suits players who enjoy cars, speed and a bit of competition. It works for older children through adults, and for anyone who wants a short, focused challenge rather than a long campaign.
