Is The Cargo multiplayer?

Games on this site are generally single player, racing against the computer. Some may offer local two-player on one keyboard; check the start screen for options.

Some browser games recognise a connected controller, but it is not guaranteed. Keyboard and touch controls always work.

How do I get better at cornering?

Brake earlier than feels natural, turn in smoothly, and accelerate once the car points toward the exit. Practice on one track until the braking points feel automatic.

The guide

Overview

Control the crane to load the truck with cargo and then deliver the cargo to the destination warehouse. Complete the job quickly to unlock achievements and earn money for truck upgrades.

What it's like to play

Speed is the obvious draw, but racing games are really about control. Holding a line through a bend, timing a boost, judging an overtake. The first race of a session is usually scrappy. By the third or fourth, you have learned the track and the car, and the finish starts to feel earned. Races are short, so even a brief session covers a few of them.

Controls

How to play

1Pick a car or kart if the game offers a choice, then start the race and hold accelerate as the countdown ends.
2Steer with arrow keys, WASD or tilt. Keep inputs small and smooth, especially at high speed.
3Brake before corners and accelerate out of them. Carrying too much speed in is the most common mistake.
4Watch for shortcuts and boost pads on the track; many games hide a faster route off the main line.

Why it's worth a go

The Cargo is a quick, free way to get a little speed into your day. There is nothing to install and no account to make. The races are brief, the controls are simple, and getting a corner right is a small satisfaction that does not get old.

Who it's for

Suits players of roughly all ages who enjoy racing. Children will like the speed and colors, adults will appreciate the handling. Casual players and more competitive ones can both find something in it.
