Timing, usually. Watch the power or accuracy meter and release a fraction earlier than instinct suggests. It takes a few rounds to calibrate.

The guide

Overview

TinyTownRacing is a 3D driving game where you try and avoid hitting other cars in busy traffic. Steer your car left and right to avoid all the obstacles in the map. Collect golden coins that are scattered around to upgrade and customize your car with unique shiny new skins. You will accelerate the more you drive, so this game will put your reflexes to the test. How long can you go in TinyTownRacing without crashing? Can you unlock every skin in the game?

What it's like to play

Two minutes on the clock, a scoreboard, and an opponent who is slightly better than you. That is a sports game in a browser. The sport changes, the setup does not. You control one player or one shot at a time, timing is everything, and the result is in or out, goal or miss. Sessions string several rounds together, often with a bracket to climb.

How to play

1Learn the single action input on the start screen, whether it is a click, a tap, a swipe or a key press.
2Position your player with arrow keys or by dragging, then execute when the ball or target is in range.
3Pay attention to timing indicators like a swinging meter or a shrinking circle; they decide power and accuracy.
4Win a match and move to the next opponent; lose and replay it with a different angle or timing.

Why it's worth a go

TinyTownRacing is quick, free and competitive. It runs in your browser with no download or sign-up, and each match is short. The scoreboard gives every round a clear outcome, which is more satisfying than it sounds after a long day of things that do not resolve.
