The guide

Overview

All railroad and railway fans, train collectors, and train simulator enthusiasts who are passionate about everything and everything linked to rail transportation come together. Time to place your trains on tracks and start building a city and a worldwide railroad empire. Join the ranks of the railway tycoons and go on a magnificent train simulator voyage that is full of surprises, city modifications, accomplishments, and complex contracts. Bring out your inner train enthusiast. Discover and collect hundreds of real-life trains that are well-known throughout the world. It might be not accessible at times, but as a railroad transport tycoon attempting to establish the largest railroad empire in the world, you'll find a way or at least some tracks. Invest in constructing a railway station in your city, complete with city and train buildings, and create a variety of goods since some contractors may want freight transportation rather than simply a new railroad or raw materials. Upgrading trains is beneficial since a modernised railroad train fleet is much more powerful when executing contracts and may save a significant amount of time on the tracks. Did you know that there are several rail rarity classifications to choose from in this tycoon city simulator? Rare trains have a larger carrying capacity than ordinary trains. It's also never been simpler to defy the laws of a city tycoon simulator than it is now.

What it's like to play

Three, two, one, and the pack moves off together. Racing games compress a lot into a short time: starts, overtakes, corners you take too fast, the straight where you finally pull ahead. Each race is a small, complete story. Between races there is often a garage or upgrade screen, and then you are back on the grid. A session of five or six races goes by quickly.

Controls

How to play

1Hold accelerate from the start and steer with the arrow keys or by tilting; let the car settle before the first corner.
2Lift off or tap the brake going into tight turns, then accelerate from the apex outward.
3Look ahead to the next corner rather than at your car; it gives you time to set up the line.
4Try different vehicles if the game offers them. Handling varies more than top speed does.

Features

Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed
Loads in the browser tab and opens full screen when you press Play
Plays best with the phone turned sideways or on a wider screen
Mouse and keyboard controls, with touch support on most devices

Why it's worth a go

A race in Train Simulator 2022 takes about as long as a song, and it is free to run in your browser with nothing to download. That makes it good for a quick break, and the steady improvement in your lap times gives the breaks a shape they would not otherwise have.

Who it's for

Suits players of most ages who like speed. Younger children can steer and enjoy it; older players will care about lap times and positions. Works well for anyone who wants a short, contained challenge.
