Does Trap Craft need a fast connection?

Only to load. Adventure games can be a bit larger than arcade titles, so give the first load a moment. After that it runs locally in the tab.

Can I skip the dialogue?

Usually, by clicking or tapping through it. Be careful though, since dialogue often contains the clue you need for the next puzzle.

What is the difference between this and a puzzle game?

Adventure games wrap their puzzles in exploration and story. You move through places and talk to characters rather than solving a single board.

The guide

Overview

Hacker once again staged a zombie apocalypse in a monster school. And offers you to play a game with him. The game has a Noob, a Pro, a Princess and other characters of the monster school. Everyone has their own desire, a Noob, for example, wants to be loved by a Princess. The Hacker is ready to fulfill everyone's wish if you pass all his chellenges. All you need is to protect the Portal from blocks. Create your own unique defense against zombies. Use weapons and build towers. New unique traps on each level. Defend the portal, Mine coins and create your own strategy. Each hero has his own funny ending. The Hacker is insidious and will affect all the heroes, even Pro and Noob. In the store you can buy a pet that increases the characteristics of the hero.

What it's like to play

Nothing about an adventure game is in a hurry. You wander, you notice, you pick up a thing you do not yet understand. Later it makes sense. A session might be twenty minutes of exploring one area or an hour spent crossing several. The story, however light, gives the wandering a purpose, and the small puzzles give the story a rhythm.

How to play

1Check the controls on the start screen, then walk a slow lap of the first area, interacting with everything.
2Open doors, read notes and talk to characters. Clues are often hidden in plain sight in dialogue or signs.
3Collect items freely and try them on anything that looks blocked. Wrong combinations cost nothing.
4If you are stuck, look for a path or exit you have not taken yet. The game usually only blocks what you are not ready for.

Why it's worth a go

Trap Craft is free, runs in a browser tab, and asks nothing of you but attention. The reward is a slow build of understanding that few other genres offer. There is no download and no account, and on the same device the game often picks up where you left it.
