The guide

Overview

Wolfoos Town Dream City is a bright, friendly pretend-play world for young children. Roam a cheerful town with Wolfoo and pals, then tap the places you love to play inside them. Visit THE MALL to shop, the SCHOOL to learn and create, the HOSPITAL to care for patients, the THEATER for a show, and the amusement park for happy rides. Every building opens a new little activity — decorate rooms, try outfits, play mini games and explore at your own pace. Activities: town-map exploration, shopping mall, school, hospital care, theater, playground and amusement park.

What it's like to play

You start somewhere unfamiliar with a vague goal and not much else. An adventure game fills in the rest as you go: a path that opens when you find the right item, a character who tells you where to look, a platform that was there all along if you had thought to jump. Sessions are built from small discoveries, and the best ones stay with you.

How to play

1Spend the first minute exploring without a goal. Note exits, objects and anyone standing around.
2Interact with characters by walking up to them and pressing the action key or tapping. They often hand out clues.
3Collect items as you find them. Most adventures will not let you pick up something you do not eventually need.
4When a puzzle stumps you, read your inventory and the scene again. The combination is usually closer than it seems.
