The guide

Overview

Shoot Zombie? is an astounding action adventure game that is slightly challenging but entirely exciting. Zombies have taken over your small American town, and you must gun them down before they get too close to taking over your own life. Bullets are scarce so make sure you don't spend them on anything less than a zombie's head. If a zombie does get close enough to touch you, it may turn you into one of their kind. Don't let these undead creatures take over your world.

What it's like to play

Point, fire, move. A shooting game trains those three into a reflex within the first minute, then spends the rest of the session making them harder. Enemies arrive faster, take more hits, and come from angles you did not expect. Ammunition or cooldowns keep you from simply holding the trigger. Rounds are short, and the score at the end is a fair record of how sharp you were.

How to play

1Start a round and fire a few shots at nothing to see your rate of fire and how the aim behaves.
2Prioritise enemies that are about to fire or reach you over those further away.
3Watch your ammo or heat gauge and reload or pause during gaps between waves.
4Learn where enemies spawn from and pre-aim at those points a moment before they appear.
