Can I play Zombie Street Trigger on a phone?

Usually yes. Tap to shoot works well on a touchscreen, and many shooters add on-screen movement controls. A mouse is more precise on desktop.

Why does the game feel too fast?

Shooters ramp up quickly. Focus on the nearest threat only and let the rest wait. Difficulty tends to feel more manageable once you stop trying to clear everything at once.

Does it track my high score?

Many shooting games store a best score in your browser on that device. It will not transfer to another device, since there is no account.

The guide

Overview

This software has been entirely rewritten to ensure that it is compatible with the latest Android versions, and it is now absolutely free. There are no advertisements, no IAP, and no-nonsense. Make sure also to check out its magnificent sequel, Zombieville USA 2, which is now finally accessible for Android devices. There's only one thing to do when your town is overtaken by the wandering dead, dig through their pockets for any spare coins. In this zombie apocalypse survival game, you'll have to fight your way through legions of the undead in an endless war for survival. How long do you think you'll be able to hold out? Attempt to gather cash and ammo to purchase up to some different weapons while your certain death creeps in around you...

What it's like to play

Point, fire, move. A shooting game trains those three into a reflex within the first minute, then spends the rest of the session making them harder. Enemies arrive faster, take more hits, and come from angles you did not expect. Ammunition or cooldowns keep you from simply holding the trigger. Rounds are short, and the score at the end is a fair record of how sharp you were.

How to play

1Start a round and fire a few shots at nothing to see your rate of fire and how the aim behaves.
2Prioritise enemies that are about to fire or reach you over those further away.
3Watch your ammo or heat gauge and reload or pause during gaps between waves.
4Learn where enemies spawn from and pre-aim at those points a moment before they appear.

Why it's worth a go

Zombie Street Trigger gives you a clear target and a clear score. It is free, runs in a browser tab with nothing to install, and a round lasts a few minutes. The appeal is the small rush of a clean hit, repeated until your hand gets tired or the waves get the better of you.
