Hockey Hero

Hockey Hero invites you to challenge a formidable goalie in thrilling one-on-one shootouts. Fire your shots with speed and precision, amass points in just 10 attempts, and aim for leaderboard glory. Unleash your inner champion and savor the excitement of scoring that game-deciding goal.

Two minutes on the clock, a scoreboard, and an opponent who is slightly better than you. That is a sports game in a browser. The sport changes, the setup does not. You control one player or one shot at a time, timing is everything, and the result is in or out, goal or miss. Sessions string several rounds together, often with a bracket to climb.

• Mouse to aim, click to act
• Arrow keys or WASD to move; Space to jump or confirm
• Press Escape or the exit button to leave the full-screen player

1. 1Learn the single action input on the start screen, whether it is a click, a tap, a swipe or a key press.
2. 2Position your player with arrow keys or by dragging, then execute when the ball or target is in range.
3. 3Pay attention to timing indicators like a swinging meter or a shrinking circle; they decide power and accuracy.
4. 4Win a match and move to the next opponent; lose and replay it with a different angle or timing.

• Free to play, nothing to install, no account needed
• Loads in the browser tab and opens full screen when you press Play
• Plays best with the phone turned sideways or on a wider screen
• Mouse and keyboard controls, with touch support on most devices

Hockey Hero is quick, free and competitive. It runs in your browser with no download or sign-up, and each match is short. The scoreboard gives every round a clear outcome, which is more satisfying than it sounds after a long day of things that do not resolve.

Suits players who enjoy a short competitive round, including children who like the sport and adults who want a quick break. It does not need much prior gaming experience.

Can I play Hockey Hero on a tablet?

Yes. Tablets suit sports games well, with enough screen for the whole field and room for swipe or tap controls.

Is there a tournament mode?

Many sports games here include one, with a ladder of opponents. Others are single match. The start screen will show the available modes.

Why do my shots keep missing?

Timing, usually. Watch the power or accuracy meter and release a fraction earlier than instinct suggests. It takes a few rounds to calibrate.
