Two minutes on the clock, a scoreboard, and an opponent who is slightly better than you. That is a sports game in a browser. The sport changes, the setup does not. You control one player or one shot at a time, timing is everything, and the result is in or out, goal or miss. Sessions string several rounds together, often with a bracket to climb.
Placik is quick, free and competitive. It runs in your browser with no download or sign-up, and each match is short. The scoreboard gives every round a clear outcome, which is more satisfying than it sounds after a long day of things that do not resolve.
Suits players who enjoy a short competitive round, including children who like the sport and adults who want a quick break. It does not need much prior gaming experience.
