The guide

Overview

Play badminton against clever opponents. Hit short, hit long and smash your way to victory in this badminton league. Activate power ups to give you an unfair advantage over your opponent. Beware, your opponent has powerups too. Use your racquet to make cool net shots. Bait them to do a high ball and finish with a smash. Or, play long rallies until your opponent gives up. Not sure how to play? Start with training mode. Practice baby shots with your badminton racket.

What it's like to play

Swing, release, watch. Whether the game is golf, basketball or something less usual, sports games here boil down to a well-timed input and a moment of waiting to see if it lands. Rounds are short and scored. Many games add a tournament or career ladder that gives a session shape, with each win leading to a tougher opponent. The physics are forgiving and the rules are familiar.

How to play

1Start a match and find the aim control, which is usually a mouse drag, a swipe, or arrow keys to position.
2Set power with a meter or by how far you drag, and release at the right moment to execute.
3Aim for the gaps rather than the target. Corners of the goal, edges of the hoop, open lanes on the court.
4After each round, check the scoreboard and adjust your power or angle rather than repeating the same shot.
