What it's like to play

More to play

24 games

Two minutes on the clock, a scoreboard, and an opponent who is slightly better than you. That is a sports game in a browser. The sport changes, the setup does not. You control one player or one shot at a time, timing is everything, and the result is in or out, goal or miss. Sessions string several rounds together, often with a bracket to climb.

How to play

1Learn the single action input on the start screen, whether it is a click, a tap, a swipe or a key press.
2Position your player with arrow keys or by dragging, then execute when the ball or target is in range.
3Pay attention to timing indicators like a swinging meter or a shrinking circle; they decide power and accuracy.
4Win a match and move to the next opponent; lose and replay it with a different angle or timing.

Why it's worth a go

Volley Lama is quick, free and competitive. It runs in your browser with no download or sign-up, and each match is short. The scoreboard gives every round a clear outcome, which is more satisfying than it sounds after a long day of things that do not resolve.

Who it's for

Suits players who enjoy a short competitive round, including children who like the sport and adults who want a quick break. It does not need much prior gaming experience.
