Twenty-odd small games in a single download, every one of them playable with the phone in airplane mode. The selection is mostly classics: 2048 and its sibling 2248 for number fans, Minesweeper and Hangman for tension, Snake and a Simon Says-style sound memory game for nostalgia. Word guess and word finder cover vocabulary, and Sudoku, Solitaire, 4 in a row, Wood Blocks and the Sliding Puzzle fill out the thinking section. Chess is included with a set of chess puzzles, and there are two-player games (Checkers, Pool, Tic Tac Toe) that can be played against the AI. Mancala is the one slightly unexpected inclusion. Individually they're quick diversions; the point is having them all bundled for a flight or a signal dead zone. It's pitched at everyone from kids to seniors.
A single download holding twenty-odd small games, every one of them playable in airplane mode. The selection is weighted towards classics: 2048 and 2248, Minesweeper, Hangman, Snake, Sudoku, Solitaire, Wood Blocks, a Sliding Puzzle, 4 in a row, and a Simon-style sound memory game.
Chess comes with its own puzzle set, Checkers, Pool and Tic Tac Toe can be played against the AI, and Mancala is the one inclusion most people won't expect. Jindoblu pitches it at everyone from children to grandparents.
There's no progression to speak of across the collection; you open the hub, pick whichever game suits the moment, and play. A delayed flight might be a few rounds of Minesweeper, a chess puzzle, a Sudoku and a word game, none of them needing a signal.
The two-player games against the AI fill the gap when there's no one to pass the phone to. Each game is quick on its own, and the bundle is the appeal.
The title says it all: people search for offline games before a flight or when they know they'll be somewhere without signal. One install covering chess, Sudoku, Solitaire and the rest saves hunting down twenty separate apps, and the mix is broad enough to suit a child and a grandparent on the same trip.
A hub menu of tiles leading to individual games is the expected layout, and with twenty-plus titles the visual styles will vary from game to game. Jindoblu's listing runs to five screenshots. Expect clean, functional presentations of the classics rather than any unified art direction, since each game is a small self-contained thing.
For a compilation, a 4.8 average across a hundred-thousand-plus ratings is impressive. Jindoblu Limited has clearly kept the bundle in good working order to earn that. Only the App Store appears in our data, and there's no version number, so we can't say when games were last added or fixed.
Airplane-mode variety
Twenty-odd games with no connection needed is the whole proposition, and it delivers it.
Three-generation households
Hangman for the youngest, chess for the oldest, 2048 for everyone in between.
Classics in one place
Sudoku, Solitaire and Minesweeper without installing a separate app for each.
Free, rated 12+, and everything works offline, which is the headline. The listing doesn't say whether ads appear, whether there's a purchase to remove them, or how much storage twenty games take. No account is implied. Regional restrictions aren't mentioned, and the 12+ rating sits oddly against a pitch that includes kids.
Our take
An easy recommendation for anyone who travels or commutes through dead zones. Breadth is the strength and the individual games are competent versions of things you already know. Skip it if you want depth in one game, say a serious chess engine or a Sudoku with thousands of graded levels; a bundle can't match a specialist.
